Transderm Meso System – Dermoelectroporation, the latest alternative to injections.
Transderm Meso System is cleared by the FDA as an alternative to injections based on Dermoelectroporation technology, which is capable of delivering accurate amounts of all types of drugs.
Dermoelectroporation is based on electrical pulses and vibrations. It is the only technology proven by clinical studies to be able to transdermally deliver, without injection, accurate doses of high molecular weight drugs.
Utilising the water based channels in the skin, a method of dermoelectroporation, pushes ingredients into the skin, avoiding the trauma and risk of infection associated with needle injections. Ingredients that are known to be beneficial to the skin, such as hyaluronic acid, which depletes naturally as we age, can be re introduced with this method of pain free delivery. Transderm no needle mesotherapy uses particular low electrical current pulses from 1 to 5 mA (as the medical devices rules require) synchronized with a vibration massage to increase the skin’s permeability.
This method delivers even large molecular size drugs (such as Hyaluronic Acid with a molecular weight of 1,700.000dalton) into the skin in about 10 to 20 minutes, depending on the area and the individual patient’s skin. Intense vitamin treatment (also known as mesotherapy) is a series of high-quality vitamin injections directed towards a specific target area of the skin. The core ingredients used in mesotherapy include: vitamin A, vitamin C and the co-enzyme Q10. However, there are around 25 vitamins that we can use for particular treatments as a nutrient to the cells.
The treatment reverses damage created by oxidative stress, caused by the sun, pollution or smoking. The core of the skin cell, known as the fibroblast, is responsible for providing the skin with nutrients such as collagen, which plumps and softens the skin.
Transderm Meso treatments utilise these same ingredients with the same objective WITHOUT the painful injections The treatment is suitable for anyone who would like to improve the general appearance of their skin and reverse any damage caused by oxidative stress.
Prior to Transderm a superficial microdermbrasion or enzyme mask is performed in order to reduce skin resistance from dead skin and increase the permeability of the skin.
Step1 – Microdermabrasion is the controlled exfoliation of the stratum corneum (uppermost layer of skin) using a stream of crystals. The controlled abrasion causes virtually no irritation to the skin and no change in skin pH. The microdermabrasion standardises the skin for a reliable delivery rate of the chosed cosmecuticals
Step 2 – Transdermal Meso System works as a pulsed Ionthophoresis. The active substances are applied to the skin. The small hand piece of the Transderm meso system is slowly massaged over the treated area to facilitate penetration and absorption of the active substances into the dermis. You will feel a combination of vibration, massage and mild tingling (which is adjusted to your comfort level).
Step 3 – Application of specific cosmecutical skincare products including eye & lip care and moisturising sunscreen.
The whole procedure takes about 45min and is very enjoyable.
